The Signature Fundraising Event for No Stone Left Alone Memorial Foundation
This year we gratefully acknowledge the 100 year anniversary of the signing of the Armistice in 1918, a truce to end World War 1.
At this meaningful time, it gives us all a strong reason to honour the sacrifice of our military. School children from across Canada are gaining an authentic experience that involves placing a poppy on military headstones.
A Dance to Remember on Friday, November 9th, 2018 is in support of the No Stone Left Alone Memorial Foundation, whose important mission is:
To honour the sacrifice and service of the men and women in Canada’s military and to educate students and youth by placing poppies on their headstones every November.
To Honour, To Educate, To Remember
Our Values are the foundation upon which we live and remember.
— Maureen Bianchini-Purvis, Founder of No Stone Left Alone Memorial Foundation
Your support will help us continue to fulfill our mission.
1. To Support Student participation in active ceremonies
• Learning and awareness:
We are dedicated to passing on the values of honour and remembering to the next generation. Our experience tells us that engaging youth is the very foundation for transferring the knowledge and appreciation for military service and sacrifice to the next generation.
We will be tasked to provide transportation for more children than ever before.
2. To Honour our Military
• Sacrifice and service:
In ceremony, we honour the men and women in our military who have fallen and those who have suffered in service to their country and to the families, friends andneighbourswho supported them.
• Gratitude and respect:
We honour and respect those men and women who have served and continue to serve in our military.
